Banned versus blocked
“Banned” means a law written specifically about sweepstakes or dual-currency casinos. “Blocked” means no sweeps-specific law, but the state’s existing gambling law is read to bar them and casinos exclude the state. Idaho relies on its constitution (Art. III, section 20), Washington on RCW 9.46.240, and Nevada raised penalties under SB 256 without naming sweepstakes casinos. Michigan has no specific statute in our data; operators exclude it under the state’s existing gambling enforcement.

What happens to your coins
When a ban takes effect, casinos stop serving the state. Some give a window to play out and redeem; High 5 Casino, for example, let Indiana and Iowa players redeem until Jun 30, 2026 after ending new access on Jun 16. Coins left after a deadline can be lost. Redeem early, keep your ID verified, and watch the changelog.
